Hotel Avalanche is located in the High Tatras on the Northern edge of the municipality Štôla immediately under the highest peak of High Tatras, called Gerlachovský.

The hotel has very good transport lines and an ideal position in the middle of High Tatra region.

Arrival by car: 

• From the  motorway D1 (Žilina - Poprad) exit Mengusovce to the road Nr. 18 direction Mengusovce, Štôla; after approx. 100 meters take the road Nr. 539 direction Mengusovce, Štôla; at the northern edge of Štôla municipality turn to the right, branch Hotel Avalanche.  
• From the road Nr. 18 (Liptovský Mikuláš - Poprad) merge onto road Nr. 539 direction Mengusovce, Štôla; at the northern edge of Štôla municipality turn to the right, branch Hotel Avalanche.
• From the road Nr. 537 (Štrbské Pleso - Smokovce) in the municipality Vyšné Hágy turn to the road Nr. 539 direction Mengusovce, Štôla; at the northern edge of Štôla municipality turn to the left, branch Hotel Avalanche.  

Train/bus: Fast train connection -  Poprad station (track Žilina - Poprad - Košice;  track Praha - Poprad pickaback train) ; there is a regular bus service from Poprad (approx. every 90 min) to Štôla (line Poprad - Vyšné Hágy - Štrbské Pleso); bus stop in Štôla - 50 m from the Hotel Avalanche. 

By plane: Airport Poprad - 10 km from Hotel Avalanche (taxi)
